Value Investing in India:
Most “investors” approach the financial markets like a zero-sum game. In a zero-sum game, for one to win, another has to lose and so on. Value investing as practiced by Benjamin Graham and Warren Buffett approaches investing as buying pieces of an operating business. Operating businesses are engines of wealth creation where all stakeholders can prosper and win. Obviously this requires that capital is allocated efficiently and to the highest return earning businesses and away from poorly run businesses.
